Tiny intends to withdraw the Setka editor from the market.
As an immediate first step, we will no longer accept purchases of the Setka product, either online or through our sales team. To transition current users, we will honor all existing agreements and provide time and support to migrate to another solution.
By the middle of 2023, the Setka platform will no longer maintain any live customers or users. Until this occurs, all paying customers of Setka will continue to receive support, fixes, and updates to their Setka platform.
Over the coming months, you will see a number of Setka features get migrated and built into the TinyMCE platform. For more information on what Setka features will be moving over within the next releases of TinyMCE, please refer to the public TinyMCE roadmap.
When we joined forces with the Setka team, the primary rationale was to bring Setka-style features to the central Tiny Platform. This continues to be our plan, and we are excited to begin integrating Setka features into the TinyMCE platform starting in September. TinyMCE has hundreds of thousands of users, and compelling new features have a ready market. By winding down investment on Setka, we have freed up team members to focus on this. The Setka product can live on in these new features we bring to the Tiny Platform.
For any existing Setka customers concerned about how this may affect them, we encourage you to reach out directly to your Setka Account Manager.
