Earlier this week we announced the general availability of the next evolution of our rich text editing product line, TinyMCE 5. TinyMCE 5 is the replacement product for users of all our previous rich text editing products, including EditLive!. It is the culmination of an intense, multi-year development effort that brought to bear all of our rich text editing experience and technology advancements to date.

You will find TinyMCE 5 to be a robust rich text editor with a beautiful and modern user interface. With 50+ plugins and 350+ design variables, the editor can be configured and customized in virtually limitless ways to fit your company’s specific use case and needs.

If you are a current subscriber to EditLive!, you will be entitled to upgrade to the TinyMCE 5 Enterprise bundle. This package contains capability beyond what was found in either the EditLive! Professional or Enterprise Editions.  We have a path forward for users of both the Java applet and the Java Swing component. The Tiny support team is prepared to assist you in making your migration happen as seamlessly as possible for both your developers and your end users.  And while we will no longer provide functional enhancements to the current release of EditLive!, we will continue to support it until March 31, 2020.

Within the coming weeks our Customer Success team will be contacting each of our EditLive! clients to answer any questions that you may have about this announcement.

In the meantime, if you’d like to start exploring TinyMCE 5, please read our launch announcement and access the cloud or self-hosted versions.

Thanks,

Team Tiny
